Although social media has taken an increasingly central role in the strategy of businesses worldwide, the “hows” and “whys” of its use still remain nebulous for many. How can it be used to grow a business? What are some key best practices? Can it actually generate revenue?
American entrepreneur, social media expert and CEO of StringCan Interactive, Jay Feitlinger, will headline a master class dedicated to the exploration of this digital marketing media, drawing on his experience as Co-Founder of ShopTab, one of the first successful eCommerce Facebook applications, also used by Coca-Cola and Fiji Water.
The master class will be kicked off by Nicolas Glady, ESSEC Professor of Marketing and the Accenture Strategic Business Analytics Chair holder, an expert in Big Data, voted one of the best 40 Most Outstanding B-School Profs under 40 in the world by Poets & Quants.

Data is now everywhere as we are experiencing an unprecedented Information Explosion. The amount of data available and usable increased exponentially in volume, velocity, variety and veracity. Nowadays, among other phenomena, data drives business decisions or political campaigns, is used in sport or in our day to day life, and its usage became a major concern for the public and the political institutions. Those phenomena are usually encompassed under the concept of “Big Data.” This conference aims at discussing these issues while gathering both scholars and professionals.
The conference is to be held in Amphi 104 of the ESSEC campus of the CNIT in La Défense. You can find the access information here.
